2026 Cover Artist: Valerie Leuth
McClain’s 2026 catalog features Valerie Leuth’s beautiful multiblock woodcut titled Glowing Rose. “Valerie Leuth is a dedicated woodcut printmaker, small business owner and mother of two living and working in Pittsburg, PA. For the past 20 years, she has been operating Tugboat Printshop and creating her unique woodcut artworks with a grassroots approach to making and sharing that is hands-on and upbeat. A reverence for technique and steadfast patience for puzzling out the challenges of the woodblock medium pairs with her experimental and playful approach to carving, inking and publishing as she guides her exactingly fine-tuned drawings into multiblock woodcut editions. Valerie’s imaginative woodcuts pulse with intricate detailing, whim, warmth and curiosity.” Follow and find out more @tugboatprintshop
