We are adding a new kind of woodblock, Basswood Plywood. Available in 3\/8\u201d thickness, Basswood is smooth to carve in any direction without tearing or chipping and has a very subtle straight grain texture. To remove the texture completely sand the block either by hand or with an orbital sander. Basswood is a member of the genus Tilia, same as our beloved Shina. McClain\u2019s Basswood Plywood is made in America. Free samples can be shipped anywhere within the United States.
