It was Carolyn and Daniel’s first time representing McClain’s at the Vendor Fair and they had a blast. We had the opportunity to check out a few of the print shows after Vendor Fair hours, most notably the Outlaw Printmakers Pioneer Monsters exhibit, Tease it to Jesus: A Portfolio of Dolly Parton Prints tribute show, the SGCI Member Exhibition and Yee-Haw Print Exhibition from the once-upon-a-time Yee-Haw Industries letterpress shop. Jack Daniel’s Does Letterpress at Yee-Haw Industries is an entertaining short video that features Yee-Haw’s late studio, to view visit https://vimeo.com/25780155 . Ultramarine Blue Relief Ink has been discontinued BUT there is good news! Phthalo Blue is being introduced to Gamblin’s line of Relief Inks and McClain’s will be carrying this new color at the end of April. In May the limited edition Watershed Grey Relief Ink will also be available through McClain’s. Watershed is a recycled ink that is available for a short time only once a year. In 2014, PNCA (Pacific Northwest College of Art) and Gamblin Artist Colors collaborated to create this one of a kind ink. The mix of recycled pigments is different every year, so Watershed Grey is always unique and never repeated. When it’s gone, it’s gone until the next year’s batch, so if you are interested in this ink keep checking our website under Gamblin Relief Ink for availability.

Sale

We have added some treasures to our sale page!
